Lesley Lockett runs Slated from her workshop in Ayrshire, Scotland.
She was formally trained as an artist at Edinburgh College of Art where she specialised in painting, becoming a wildlife and landscape painter.
In 2014 she became fascinated with working with stone. Enlisting the help of her husband Geoff, and his amazing cutting machine, Lesley started making her first slate designs and Slated was born!
Since those early days, we have been designing and making many slate shapes for our customers, and delivering them successfully worldwide.
